Rashida Mungin, FNP-C, is a board-certified nurse practitioner at First Care Medical Clinic in Monroe and Gastonia, North Carolina. She has a passion for health equity and strives to help her patients learn healthy lifestyle habits that they can implement at home.
Rashida is a California native and lived in New York City for a brief time before moving to Charlotte, North Carolina, in 2015. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from New York University in New York City before working as a nurse in surgery and labor and delivery for 10 years.
Eventually, Rashida went back to school at Simmons University in Boston where she graduated from the family nurse practitioner program in May of 2019. During her training, she gained experience in pediatrics, women’s health, cardiology, and family medicine.
Rashida holds a membership in the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. At First Care Medical Clinic, she provides attentive care to patients of all ages and provides comprehensive exams, diagnosis, and treatment for a variety of medical conditions, such as hypertension and diabetes as well as colds, flu, and minor injuries.
